Annual Fiction Writing Workshop
by Editors Dec 20, 2006

Butler University’s creative writing professor Dan Barden will present the seventh annual Fiction Writing Workshop Feb. 21-May 16.

In past years, freelance writers, attorneys, doctors, retirees, homemakers and even some high school students have taken the class.

Barden says his overall goal is to pull together a group of writers who are enthusiastic and committed, although not necessarily accomplished, and have them encourage each other to write better.

This popular workshop runs for 12 weeks, Wednesdays from 7:15-9:45 p.m. in Jordan Hall Room 303. Enrollment costs $200 and is limited to 15 people.

To apply, send a letter of introduction and a writing sample of no more than 20 pages to dbarden@butler.edu or mail to Dan Barden, Butler University Department of English, 4600 Sunset Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46208-3485.

Deadline for applications is Jan. 31, 2007. For more information, call 317-940-9688.
