Dylan, Costello play Bloomington
Dylan is not just known for his incredible songwriting ability, but also highly recognized for his performances and recordings. Not to mention, Dylan is also an acclaimed poet, author and, of late, a disc jockey. With many inspiring albums, countless hit singles and an array of awards and accomplishments, Dylan is still on top of the world.
This jack-of-all-trades performs with guitar, harmonica and keyboard and has been known throughout his career to experiment with many different music styles. That’s what makes Dylan – his ability to reinvent himself as a musician and to not be scared to venture into unknown territory.
Dylan’s latest studio album, Modern Times, came out last summer and rose to No. 1 on the U.S. album charts. This innovator has been going since the “peace and love generation” and doesn’t seem to be quitting anytime soon.
Also performing at IU’s Assembly Hall on October 19 is someone who knows a thing or two about music himself — legendary singer-songwriter, Elvis Costello. Costello also tries new styles, playing to the sounds of rock, pop, pub rock, new wave and punk rock. Going strong since 1977, Costello has recorded many great albums and singles, including “Pump It Up” and “Allison,” and has accumulated many distinguished awards over the years.
Don’t miss this dual headlining concert. You’ll see two legends on one stage. Post a comment
