Finding the bunny
by Letter to the Editor May 6, 2008

Every week I read the title of your columns [Hammer] and wonder, “How is he going to work a slam against Bush into that.” You always somehow manage, to me it’s like finding the bunny on the Playboy cover. Although I disagree with practically everything you write (except The Star article, which was dead on), I find people like you, Keith Olberman and Bill Maher to be critically important to a functioning democracy — you’re the guys with the sharp stick poking the high and mighty. I may not agree with what you say but I will defend your right to say it. As an ex photo interpreter in the USAF let me assure you that the world as it is and the world you see on TV are not the same, if the American people really knew what went on in the world you would be hard pressed to keep motivated and functional.
