The 13th annual Middle Eastern Festival of Indianapolis will be held July 18-20 at St. George Orthodox Christian Church, 4020 N. Sherman Drive. This year’s theme is “Promoting Peace and Understanding for All in the Middle East,” and an invitation is extended to Jews, Muslims, Christians and peace-loving people of all faiths to join in the festivities.

Chadi Naddaf’s Band, a Middle Eastern band from Montreal, will perform for dancers of all ages. As always, there will also be a sumptuous array of foods on offer, including lamb shanks, gyros, hummus, falafel, stuffed grape leaves and spanakopita. Indoors, you’ll find pastries, jewelry, groceries and gift items.

The festival runs Friday from 4-11 p.m.; Saturday from noon-11 p.m.; and Sunday from noon-5 p.m. Admission is $5, or free with the advance purchase of 10 food/drink tickets for $10. Call 317-547-9356 or visit www.mefestival.org or www.stgindy.org for more information.
