Naptown Juke Stomp III: The Repellents, Eisenhower Field Day, Freddy T & The People, Creepin’ Charle
by Jeff Napier Aug 6, 2008

The Good Rev. Dan is a truly righteous dude. He has engineered two past Indy Juke Stomps that showcased diverse Indy bands and has filled the room each time he’s done it. Featuring yet another diverse and seemingly random lineup, this Friday’s Stomp may just be the best yet. Area power-pop heroes Eisenhower Field Day and perennial Stomp regulars Creepin’ Charlie and the Boneyard Orchestra front-load the bill, joined by local up-and-comers Freddy T & The People and Nidus.
But what makes this show worth $5 is the return of Anderson’s only hardcore band to go anywhere beyond the Madison County line, The Repellents. Back in the early ’80s, The Repellents formed a bit of a Hoosier hardcore scene along with Zero Boys and the Toxics. Their “AFC” was and remains one of the best heartland hardcore singles of all time.
