Thumbsup: Let’s hear it for mass transit
by Editors Oct 10, 2007
The City-County Council voted Monday night to phase out non-emergency take-home vehicles for city and county employees. This could save the city $6 million in replacement fees every four years, as well as $250,000 a year in gasoline and repairs. This plan could take more than year to implement as some workers are said to need the time to find alternative forms of transportation.

Mass Transit
by Margo Scheuring | Oct 10, 2007
This "thumbs up" was too short to make any comment about mass transit. I hope NUVO will cover very soon the new service to Fishers and begin to put together an in-depth analysis of mass transit in Indy; it is hardly "mass" if it is one car-one rider, the current scenario. Even CICS fails to realistically address pretty simple connections, as drivers in Indy do not even want riders, let alone carpools and/or buses. More is the pity!
