My comments are on the little ThumbsUp/ThumbsDown section. You give a ThumbsUp to the Tobias’ donating $10 million for the theater renovation at the IMA but you also give a ThumbsDown to the mayor for hiring Tobias to run the airport (News, Jan. 30-Feb. 6). What the hell?

Two issues with that. The first is could you be a bigger hypocrite? “Well, Mr. Tobias, we will take your money and there is no shame in that, but we cannot employ or associate with a man like yourself.” Seriously? I really don’t have anything else to say about that double standard than classy, really classy. (sarcasm)

The second comment is why the hell is hiring Tobias a ThumbsDown? Because he was on the Rolodex of a madam or a masseuse? How about the fact that he ran a giant company successfully and will do good in leading the airport, how about weighing the factors that matter in determining who to hire? Just a thought. Clinton was getting oral sex by interns and you did not call for his termination, but a masseuse should get a man blacklisted?

This spiteful rant has me thinking I read Hammer too much. The having the cake and eating it too, wanting it both ways and general hypocrisy of the rival thumbs required a comment.
