Known to regulars as The Mel , the Melody Inn is a landmark establishment one of the few independently-owned nightclubs in town that offers live, original music several times a week. True to its history, the driftwood chandelier still hangs from the center of the room like some bizarre prop out of a David Lynch film. But late at night the relaxed, almost tepid atmosphere boils over into loud rock and roll.
